HOT NEWS!!

2013 is definitely starting with loads of fantastically great Cuban salsa news:

the 4 weeks course with OSBANIS & ANETTA in Cambridge is CONFIRMED, yay! Dates: Sundays February 17th & 24th, then March 10th & 17th. More info coming very soon. We are soooo excited about welcoming such inspiring teachers in our town!
The Missing Sock has also confirmed their availability for the AFROSALSA 2013: July 13th-14th. We are now working on composing the programme and contacting the artists: be prepared for a few interesting ones, quality is what we like.
The date of the JESUS CUTINO CONCERT IN CAMBRIDGE, which was announced for February 8th, will have to be shifted due to unforeseen circumstances, but we are very determined to make it happen. We are now waiting for date confirmation from some alternative venues, probably sometime late February.
HAVANA D'PRIMERA, probably the best Cuban band of the 21st century, is COMING TO PLAY in LONDON at the Electric Brixton on Friday April 12th!!! This is a rare and precious event, it's like a dream come true, and the whole of the UK's Cuban salsa scene will be supporting it. Cambridge in the house? YESSSSS! We have 30 tickets for sale at the regular price of £22 (you save the booking fees), well, actually 27 tickets left because they are going very fast, and we will definitely make this a group trip. Yay!

LIVE BAND PALENKE in Cambridge, Oct.08th: salsa groups unite to support live music!

Cambridge Cuban Salsa, Leandro's 100% Cuban, the Cambridge Rueda group and Club Salsa Events are pleased to provide assistance to SalsaT with marketing associated with the

PALENKE LIVE CONCERT

St Paul's Centre, Hills Road, Cambridge CB2 1JP

This fabulous, London based, Colombian band have been together for many years. They are fronted by the lovely and immensely talented singer Adriana Santana. Her partnership with Lisandro Zapata (songwriter/vocalist/bass guitar) and Fernando “Kinacho” Suárez (songwriter/backing vocals/piano) has been the backbone to many exhilarating performances. They are joined by other first class musicians to bring you a five piece band that will delight all salsa lovers and non salsa people alike.

Palenke’s music is a mix of Rock and Roll, modern R&B and hip hop, with a hint of Jazz and funk. All the tracks are very danceable and uplifting songs, where Salsa is the main ingredient. Whether you dance salsa or not come and enjoy a great night out with a truly great band.
