Film: THE POWER OF COMMUNITY, How Cuba Survived Peak Oil

followed by discussion & salsa workshop

Friday 29th January 2010
7.30pm (doors open 7.15pm)
The Royal British Legion Hall, 58 Fishers Lane, Cherry Hinton

Do you live or work in the Cherry Hinton area?

This is the first in a series of events exploring how we build local community and create a thriving, sustainable Cherry Hinton. ‘The Power of Community’ tells the inspirational story of a community that found creative ways of responding to an economic crisis.

All ages are welcome and everyone is invited to discuss the film and the topic of community over tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits (feel free to bring cake and biscuits if you feel inclined!).

This will be followed by an introductory class about Cuban salsa and the historical evolution of its various musical and dancing forms.

The event is FREE, with donations towards room hire welcomed.
